Second Saturday Poetry Open Mic

  • Old Soul at The Weatherstone

In conjunction with Sacramento's 2nd Saturday Art Walk, Old Soul Co. presents a singular poetry open mic at The Weatherstone, hosted by the divinatory Joe the Bare. Situated just off the main Midtown walk, The Weatherstone is an historic brick building with a dream-like patio (where the open mic is set to take place). Come by for an evening of Sacramento's voices, visual art, craft beer, fine wine, and fire light.

Art walk opens at 6pm // Open mic sign up at 7:30pm // Event ends at 10pm // Old Soul is open until 11pm

Common Code at Fermaentra

  • Fermaentra

Using morse code, slide projection, and archival / live audio recording, W. Scott Howard and Ryan Wade Ruehlen explore the conflicted beauty of language as code: where information, memory, space and power overlap. We hope you'll join us for an evening of performance poetics — and great craft beer — at the intersection of DU and CU's experimental communities!
